Recently read a news that in Bangalore, call girls have moved from their usual place to Bangalore International Airport road and made it their place of work, i.e. a place where they make deals with their clients. Reason is, all government offices nearby are closed around 7:30 and all people return to home and the area becomes free to stop passersby and make deal. This also ensures the client will have money as its international airport road.
The passersby stop on the highway to make deals. This is dangerous for other vehicles passing as it blocks some of the road on high speed highway. The police in that area is aware and is regularly paid by call girls not to take action against it.
Well this is just the latest update on this matter in one of the area of large city of a large country. Not that this is shocking or anything. Prostitution has always been there and will be there as long as we do not change the way we look at it and give it other meaning.
It’s perfectly human to feel to have bodily pleasure and it is natural behavior of humans. Nobody can stop or eradicate any of the known human behaviors from this earth like, happiness, anger, sorrow, love, hate. Can you stop people from expressing any of these ever? No, same way you cannot stop humans from having that pleasure too. so now, this is known you cannot change human nature, now what?
If you stop people from doing things beyond what is written in law books, it won't stop a human body from being a human body, will it? People will create some or other way to appease that feeling. If you do not provide a society supportive then it will happen slyly, in dark and will be called bad and unacceptable. So, accept it. How...you decide because if you do not accept it'll create 100 other problems in society. I'll give you example of some problems. Since the Indian marriage system considers that having sex before marriage is unethical not
that it stops people from doing so but still in the open society this is the theory. Everybody is not lucky to get married. Everybody who marries is not lucky to have a partner who stays with you till the end of life and loyal. Everybody is not lucky to get another partner if he loses one. So there is system but there are no fixes for these bugs. They are left open. But you cannot expect people to live in misery for whole life. Who are you to decide it? God has give us mind and body to be happy. If you threaten to punish for being happy, they'll do so hiding. So there will be clashes in families if somebody visited a call girl. It's like an endless loop. we don't know how to resolve this bug of society so we ignore it and work on other problems generated by it which have been programmed by lawmen to solve.
I have seen in UK how this is looked at. People working in this business, just like others, finish their job at the end of the day or night and go home, watch movies, shop and enjoy with others. People know where exactly they work, what exactly they work. They know how to make it safe. There are less cases of rape. People go to these area like any other place. Being a girl who does not work as a call girl, will not feel awkward or insecure to just go and see such places even at night. Because there is no danger to the society by this chunk. There are innumerable reasons people do not get married or do not find a partner for life, it doesn't mean they should die
without experiencing what nature has meant for the humans on the earth. Who are you and me and law books to restrict or put natural pleasures under conditions.
Saying that doesn't mean we start becoming uncivilized and start taking pleasure from anybody we see. It means that we become so civilized that we generate a society which understands human mind and body and can support and cater to any type of social problems rather not make it problem anymore.
We see people protesting to remove such red light areas from near the schools and residential. Ok remove, they will go near some other schools and residential. This is not the solution. It's like we keep cutting jungles and then complain there is a tiger in the city. Know it, they are part of society either you consider it so or not. There is no point hiding it from your children, for some day they'll definitely know it. And when they know, they are not going to ask you before visiting these places. so you decide what perception to give to the coming generation about this lot.
My message through this write is that we have to change the way we look at this whole business. There is no infrastructure in our country for this concept and so this is continuing as a ailment in our society. Things which are hidden and unknown are more dangerous than things which are open and known to all. Instead of keep on saying we are against it and not doing anything to stop it, let us accept is as part of society as other things. Do not create an impression that the areas where these people work are unvisitable by children or other people and declare it a banned thing in the open society because it is not banned. When you are asleep, people around you go there so why to be hypocrite? At least this change in individual attitude can be brought until our government pays attention to this bug in the society and find a permanent fix to it i.e. not keep on trying to unsuccessfully remove it but trying to blend it in society with an open mind.
